Siyma Barkin Kuzmin is a parent and family coach and trainer with an educational background in psychology with a Master`s degree in Human Development and Family Studies.
She worked for 25 years at UNICEF in different countries, overseeing programs on child protection and children’s rights. Having settled in Geneva, Switzerland, with her husband and two teenagers a few years ago, she is doing independent coaching, consulting, and training for individuals, couples, families, and professionals working with children.
As a lifelong learner, she is trained in several approaches, including the Compassionate Inquiry method (Dr. Gabor Maté), Internal Family Systems, Triple P (Positive Parenting Program), FamilyLab (Jesper Juul), as well as trauma-informed care for LGBTQ children and youth. She is volunteering for several civil society organisations that support children and families. She favours an empathetic, inclusive, and evidence-based approach where authenticity, acceptance of differences, respect, and open communication are valued. She believes that being in touch with our inner wisdom is necessary for better connections with oneself and others. She is carrying sessions in English and Turkish online and in person in Geneva.
